DNA tests, prove u r the dad. Father still acts though he's not.

As much as I don't wanna talk about this, there are guys who are very stubborn & selfish when it comes to being a dad. They want the fun but not what comes from it all. I have to be both parents since no one wants to be the one responsible for my kids. I should have 2 checks coming in & have none. When I do,(years later)its only for less than 50 dollars a month per check. I don't despise my kids' dad, I despise their behavior. Its almost Xmas & one of my kids' dad's decided he wasn't getting the layaway we put in on together for the kids for Xmas because he couldn't control me or my household how he wanted. My kids cried as he left & I told him to never come back. I believe men who owe child support are only with women who can pay their child support for them & use those they owe child support to so they don't have to pay or do anything but show up. The ones who are not working are exempt from this, those that are working & can afford to pay should be ashamed of themselves.I'm like this if you don't wanna or can't pay child support why keep having more kids by other women?

    * Employment is projected to decline moderately, but job opportunities should be excellent, as many employers report difficulty finding qualified applicants.

Nature of the Work About this section

Tool and die makers are among the most highly skilled workers in manufacturing. These workers produce and repair tools, dies, and special guiding and holding devices that enable machines to produce a variety of products we use daily—from clothing and furniture to heavy equipment and parts for aircraft. They may work in manufacturing plants that produce tools in house, or in machine shops that only produce specialized machine tools for other manufacturers.

Toolmakers craft precision tools and machines that are used to cut, shape, and form metal and other materials. They also produce jigs and fixtures—devices that hold metal while it is bored, stamped, or drilled—and gauges and other measuring devices. Die makers construct metal forms, called dies, that are used to shape metal in stamping and forging operations. They also make metal molds for diecasting and for molding plastics, ceramics, and composite materials. Some tool and die makers craft prototypes of parts, and then, working with engineers and designers, determine how best to manufacture the part. In addition to developing, designing, and producing new tools and dies, these workers also may repair worn or damaged tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.

To perform these functions, tool and die makers employ many types of machine tools and precision measuring instruments. They also must be familiar with the machining properties, such as hardness and heat tolerance of a wide variety of common metals, alloys, plastics, ceramics, and other composite materials. Tool and die makers are knowledgeable in machining operations, mathematics, and blueprint reading. In fact, tool and die makers often are considered highly specialized machinists. Machinists typically produce less elaborate parts for machinery, while tool and die makers craft very durable, complex machine tools. As a result, tool and die makers must have a general understanding of the mechanics of machinery. (See the section on machinists elsewhere in the Handbook.)

While many tools and dies are designed by engineers or tool designers, tool and die makers are also trained to design tools and often do. They may travel to a customer's plant to observe the operation and suggest ways in which a new tool could improve the manufacturing process.

Once a tool or die is designed, tool and die makers, working from blueprints, plan the sequence of operations necessary to manufacture the tool or die. They measure and mark the pieces of metal that will be cut to form parts of the final product. At this point, tool and die makers cut, drill, or bore the part as required, checking to ensure that the final product meets specifications. Finally, these workers assemble the parts and perform finishing jobs, such as filing, grinding, and polishing surfaces. While manual machining has declined, it is still used for unique parts and sharpening of used tools.

Many tool and die makers use computer-aided design (CAD) to develop products and parts. Specifications entered into computer programs can be used to electronically develop blueprints for the required tools and dies. Numerical tool and process control programmers use CAD or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs to convert electronic drawings into CAM-based computer programs that contain instructions for a sequence of cutting tool operations. (See the section on computer control programmers and operators elsewhere in the Handbook.) Once these programs are developed, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines follow the set of instructions contained in the program to produce the part. Computer-controlled machine tool operators or machinists normally operate CNC machines, but tool and die makers are often trained in both operating CNC machines and writing CNC programs; and they may perform either task. CNC programs are stored electronically for future use, saving time and increasing worker productivity.

After machining the parts, tool and die makers carefully check the accuracy of the parts using many tools, including coordinate measuring machines, which use sensor arms and software to compare the dimensions of the part to electronic blueprints. Next, they assemble the different parts into a functioning machine. They file, grind, shim, and adjust the different parts to properly fit them together. Finally, tool and die makers set up a test run, using the tools or dies they have made to make sure that the manufactured parts meet specifications. If problems occur, they compensate by adjusting the tools or dies.

Work environment. Tool and die makers may either work in toolrooms or manufacturing production floors. Toolrooms are generally kept clean and cool to minimize heat-related expansion of metal workpiece, while specialty machine shops have a factory floor covered with machinery. To minimize the exposure of workers to moving parts, machines have guards and shields. Most computer-controlled machines are totally enclosed, minimizing workers' exposure to noise, dust, and the lubricants used to cool workpieces during machining. Working around this machinery can still be dangerous, so tool and die makers must follow safety rules and wear protective equipment, such as safety glasses to shield against bits of flying metal, earplugs to protect against noise, and gloves and masks to reduce exposure to hazardous lubricants and cleaners. These workers also need stamina, because they often spend much of the day on their feet and may do moderately heavy lifting. Companies employing tool and die makers have traditionally operated only one shift per day. Overtime and weekend work are common, especially during peak production periods.

Training, Other Qualifications, and Advancement About this section

It usually takes 4 or 5 years of classroom and paid on-the-job training to become a fully trained tool and die maker. Good math, problem-solving, and computer skills are important requirements for these workers.

Education and training. Most tool and die makers learn their trade through 4 or 5 years of education and training in formal apprenticeships or in other postsecondary programs offered at local community colleges or technical schools. These programs often include a mix of classroom instruction and paid hands-on experience. According to most employers, apprenticeship programs are the best way to learn all aspects of tool and die making. Most apprentices must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. In high school, students should take courses in physics and mathematics, including trigonometry and geometry.

Traditional apprenticeships usually require that the apprentice complete a specific number of work and classroom hours to complete the program, which typically takes 4 or 5 years. Some companies and State apprenticeship programs, however, are now shifting from time-based programs to competency-based programs. Under competency-based programs, apprentices can move ahead more quickly by passing a series of exams and demonstrating competency in a particular job skill.

While formal apprenticeship programs may be the best way to learn the job, many tool and die makers receive most of their formal classroom training from community and technical colleges, while working for a company that often supports the employee's training goals and provides the needed on-the-job training less formally. Apprentices usually work 40 hours per week and attend technical college courses at night. These trainees often begin as machine operators and gradually take on more difficult assignments. Many machinists become tool and die makers.

During their training, tool and die maker trainees learn to operate milling machines, lathes, grinders, laser and water cutting machines, wire electrical discharge machines, and other machine tools. They also learn to use handtools for fitting and assembling gauges and other mechanical and metal-forming equipment. In addition, they study metalworking processes, such as heat treating and plating. Classroom training usually consists of tool designing, tool programming, blueprint reading, and mathematics courses, including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics. Tool and die makers must have good computer skills to work with CAD/CAM technology, CNC machine tools, and computerized measuring machines.

Even after completing a formal training program, tool and die makers still need years of experience to become highly skilled. Most specialize in making certain types of tools, molds, or dies.

Certification and other qualifications. State apprenticeship boards certify tool and die makers as journey workers after they have completed a licensed program. While a State certification is not necessary to work as a tool and die maker, it gives workers more flexibility in employment, as many employers require this certification. Apprentices usually must be at least 18 years old, in addition to having a high school education and high school mathematics classes.

Because tools and dies must meet strict specifications—precision to one ten-thousandth of an inch is common—the work of tool and die makers requires skill with precision measuring devices and a high degree of patience and attention to detail. Good eyesight is essential. People entering this occupation also should be mechanically inclined, able to work and solve problems independently, have strong mathematical skills, and be capable of doing work that requires concentration and physical effort. Tool and die makers who visit customers' plants need good communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.

Employers generally look for someone with a strong educational background, as they desire intelligent, dependable workers. Problem-solving skills are also a must in this occupation, as technologies and skills are constantly changing in this profession. As automation continues to change the way tools and dies are made, workers regularly need to update their skills to learn how to operate new equipment. Also, as materials such as alloys, ceramics, polymers, and plastics are increasingly used, tool and die makers need to learn new machining techniques to deal with these new materials.

Advancement. There are several ways for skilled workers to advance. Some move into supervisory and administrative positions in their firms or they start their own shop. Others may take computer courses and become computer-controlled machine tool programmers. With a college degree, a tool and die maker can go into engineering or tool design.
Employment About this section

Tool and die makers held about 84,300 jobs in 2008. Most worked in industries that manufacture metalworking machinery, transportation equipment, such as motor vehicle parts, fabricated metal products, and plastics products. Although they are found throughout the country, jobs are most plentiful in the Midwest and the Northeast, where many metalworking companies are located.
Job Outlook About this section

Employment is projected to decline moderately. However, excellent job opportunities are expected, as many employers report difficulty finding qualified applicants.

Employment change. Employment of tool and die makers is projected to decline by 8 percent over the 2008–18 decade, due to foreign competition in manufacturing and advances in automation, including CNC machine tools and computer-aided design, that should improve worker productivity. On the other hand, tool and die makers play a key role in building and maintaining advanced automated manufacturing equipment, which makes them less susceptible to lay-offs from automation than other less skilled production workers. As firms invest in new equipment, modify production techniques, and implement product design changes more rapidly, they will continue to rely heavily on skilled tool and die makers for retooling.

Job prospects. Despite declining employment, excellent job opportunities are expected as many openings will result from workers retiring or leaving the occupation for other reasons. Employers in certain parts of the country report difficulty attracting skilled workers and apprenticeship candidates with the necessary abilities to fill openings. The number of workers receiving training in this occupation is expected to continue to be fewer than the number of openings created each year by tool and die makers who retire or transfer to other occupations. A major factor limiting the number of people entering the occupation is that many young people who have the educational and personal qualifications necessary to learn tool and die making usually prefer to attend college or do not wish to enter production occupations.

Sick, but working

Hello AidPage,

Just thought I'd drop a line to let you know that I am live at www.youravon.com/ereed5261. If you need shopping assistance or would like information about becoming an AVON representative, come to my website and I will help anyway that I can.

I'm sitting here at my computer with the worst sinus infection. Thank goodness I work from home. I can be online for a while then lay down and rest when the cold medicine kicks in. I was/am also able to get some work donein this ever changing weather. Now if I could just remember that my health does not like cold weather I'd be doing ok. (like that is going to happen, hard-headed, self-reliant, independant and loving every moment of it.)

I Can Help!

I have a great idea for helping people. BUt i cant do it by myself. I need Everyones help here.

Seriously, There are a lot of people who need help here.  I would like to personal choice one random person a month and donate what i can.

I am asking for your help rather your rich or poor. I am only asking that when i announce who the winner is for that month, Everybody donates $1. Its not much at all even I can afford to spare $1 a month (raising 2 kids n caretaker of my brother. on cash aid and a monthly income of $200 a month. Im in charge of all the bills, food, and everything else) But this is not where i list my needs. This is what i want to do to help other People. PLEASE! If we all give just $1 it will add up. Let me give an example if 20 people give $1 that months "winner" will have $20, it may not seem like much but it helps. Thats a pack of diapers for a single mom, some gas for a disabled person to get to an appt, A pack of socks and underwear for a child, or enough to buy at least one meal for a family of 4. The list goes on. Imagine how we can help if 100 people give $1. Everyone has needs rather they are working or not. Disabled or Fine. EVERYBODY can use a little help. I wont start till i know I have at least 10 people willing to participate. Also because i feel everyone  is able to give $1, I will be more likely to select those who are helping others too. Basically If you donate you will be selected to be donated too. Im starting with Just 1 person a month. Maybe more if this grows into something big. AND of course if you have more to offer the "winner" of the month you are encouraged to do so. (not just money, clothing, extra food, whatever you want)

If your willing to particiapate and like the idea just leave a comment

I am asking that "winners" set up a paypal account to make recieving a donation easier.

About Bill69

I have adrenal gland problems, and neck issues due to an injury. I have been treated for the adrenal now for four years, but it is not helping me. I can no longer work because of the issues and even though we have good health insurance we are thousands of $ in debt just for what they will not pay. And here I am still unable to work. I had to sell my business after 28 years in insurance business, and at a loss because I could no longer run it and my secretary retired and I had a buyer but under the amount I owed from just buying out my partner two years before. Does any one know of a good DR for adrenal problems and hormone issues for a man?

Is there any SOURCE that could help us with medical bills? Were not asking as free loaders we have ALWAYS paid our bills and are current but just down the road if I can't get back to doing SOMETHING we are in big financial trouble. And yet we are very willing to work for it.

We are not asking for money just a SOURCE that could help us!!  Also I would like to start an at home business on the computor> is there ANY out there that are not scams?

We need a business where I can work my own hours ?

Thanks for your help!

Life is Really Bad!

Well here a story for you. It begins with I was a CNA and was working on and of for 15 yrs.If you do not have a trade or degree this is about all you can do in the south.Well I decide I had enough of the routine life and want something more and besides that job will wear you down both mentally and phsycally.  I wanted something else besides doing the worst job in the health care field.I decided to make a career change and go back to school but little did I know I picked the wrong time to quit my job. My husband got laid off on the sameday The president was elected . Wow how ironic hah! Well we had to move out of our big house and move back in my Parents house .My sister just gave up her apartment and move back home becuse time was hard on her. So yes with the blink of an eye 11 people were all under one roof.To add fuel to the fire my Parents were go through thier own mess about leaving each other. Well for thirty-nine years they have been say they were leaving each other. We did not even give it a seprate thought. For years my father was running around trying to get a second home one his own and all of the bank told him no. So later on my sister pinched me and told me when  we all under one roof earlier this year before all hell broke lose, She was helping dad get another house. i was not told beccuse i ws not in a situation to help and he says i tell my mom everything. I look at my sister and asked what are you getting out of the deal. She did tell me until later after he promised  and broke his promise. That was the levrigid my mom had against for him not to leave her.. Some how a bank call and asked to speak to him and she said this is his wife how may i help you and the agent let everything out.my mother lets just say she doesn 't speak to me and we were very  close as a mother and daughter should.Out of all 5 of her daughter I was her favorite. Well lets just say she hates all of us. I guess. So she found that he took the money form refinancing the house and went a purchased another house with my sister for this young new girlfirend. Well needless to say my mom went off on me and the sister who help purchsed the house. She said to her as for as she is concerned she was dead to her and told me she wished she would have aborted me.Well that day i lost all resect for her as a mother ans cuss her bloodclot out.So he packed up everything in the house and let my dad on the floor. So he was waiting to move in with his new girlfirend .but the closing was taking to long. So finally he  moved out in june and did not pay the mortgage. So by that time the mortgage is one month behind.  Well my mom doesn't live in the house but she comes over everyday and argues with anyone who pays her some attention. So now my sister. my husband and I pay the mortgage. She said she did not care about anything . She wants the house to go into forecloser.I would say to her don't you care if we all will be on the street. She couldn't care less. So we call my dad he says he does not care about anything or anyone the only person who can come live with him is the youngest one. The 20 year old. This is not the one help him get the house. He told  the one who help him get the house  he would rather burn his house down and be homeless or let a guy man come in his house walk around with his balls hanging out and live their before any of us and or kids come and live with him. So now when he left the mortgage one month behind he told her he was not helping her get a new car that was what he promised her for helping him get the house. That was the so called deal.So now the one months mortgage backed up with late fees and turn int two months mortgage. Because now here the other part my other sister that stays here is disabled and she pays her share which is  $450. Well she gets a check and mind you my mom dosn' t live here anymore or take care of her. I do evreything from take her to the doc, give her meds, make her shower feed her and the whole nine yards. But she still come and collect the check. So in september she come as usual  to pick up the check and cashs it. She came over with a money order this time. She use to bring cash and all  of it  would go to the mortgage. My husband pays our portion and our portion is not enoough, the mortgage ia 1102.45.  So i said oh she is trying to ge smart. I said whatever becuse this is her and my dads problem not mine. So she left the money order on the counter and left. So I said I was going to pick it up but I got so busy that I forgot. so a couple of days went by and i was going to pay the mortgage. I wen looking fo it and it was gone. So I told my sister to call her mother and tell her because at this point if we looked at each other we argued. So my sister told her and she said to bad. We had to g and retrieve the money order ourself. the check cashing place to us we had to wait 30 to 45 days for us to get anothe moeny order. so now the mortgage is in to it second month and going it the third month forecloser. So apparently she was trying to get something on her credit and they told her no because the mortgage is two months behind. Well she came over for the paper work the bank had sent. Mind you she is not paying no bills here, does not live here,  comes over and uses a key to come in and does a walk through and argues with anyone over stupidness. She called the bank last week and made arrangement with the bank and tolds them the back and current will be paid off all by feb 1 2010. Now she did not even consult with me, My husband my sisteer or anyone. She came over and told me to tell everyone in the house if it not all paid uup by Feb we all have to get out. I have been looking for a job since february 08 before I finshed my Accounting Course. I have yet to find a job . My husband has been  looking but he really has been looking since he was laid off in january and nothing. I even decided to move out of the state. I don't even see any jobs were I decide to move. what is really going on?  I can not take this anymore.

Things were going okay for us until I was laid off sever months ago.  During that time we fell behind in many of our payments.  It does not seem that we can even get ahead, with other things that happened.  Both of our vehicles needed a lot of work(around $2,000 worth), and we had to borrow money to get the work done.  Recently our 7 year old son was complaining about a tooth hurting,  and I am hoping it is just one of his baby teeth falling out.

Just recently I was called temporarily called backed to work, but I am making $2 an hour less.   That is better than unemployment, but not good enough to catch up on the late payments.  There might be hope to  be rehired into my old company, but the pay could be even less that what I am making.

What we really need help in is paying off our discover cards.  With the late payment the interest have gone to 29.9%, which make even paying the minimum impossible.   If you can help out with any amount please visit my site.  Thank you very much  With these cards gone(Yes they will be cut up and cancelled), I believe we can handle the rest of our bills.

About where is the love

Hello everyone,

I am writing this because I feel I am at my lowest point. I am a single mom of three, ages 6, and twins that are 1 and half. Thier father is no where in sight has not called or has even asked to see his kids. I am left trying to do this all on my own. As if the three kids wasn't enough to keep me busy, I also work and go to school full time. I feel that the Lord is  rewarding my kids dead beat father. He always seems to have someone to help him get through his lonely nights, pay his bills, and he can go and do what ever he wants to do. I dont think that its fair. He has not payed his child support and right now I am trying to figure out what I can do to get  some money so I can put gas in the car so I can get to work. It is really frustrating. I have pawned all I could. borowed from who I could, I've done payday loans, I have even figured out that as long as I have a dollar in my debt account I will be able to fill up my tank. I am at my wits end. Why does the Lord reward thoose who don't take care of their responsibilities. And here I am every day trying to do something for me and my kids, not just sitting on welfare. And yet we struggle more. why?  I am so angry and frustrated with the Lord, he did tell me that this wasn't going to be easy, but come on. I am so stressed I take it out on my kids I am constitantly yelling at them espacially my 6 year old. I know that yelling at them doesn't help the situation but I dont know what else to do. They are constatenly into things as soon as my back is turned. and my 6 year old doesn't seem to understand a word I am saying to him, I have to tell him to do one thing several times just for him to do it, and then he winnes about it. I love my kids , their the reason why I get up in the morning. But dear Lord why cant I have help. I really dont have any reliable friends, and my parents help out only once in a while. So I dont have a support group that I could turn to. I try to convince myself that one day our situation will improve. and the Lod did promise that he will be with me.  But why cant our lives be perfect now, why do we have to go through all these hard times. Last month I was struggling to put food on the table, this month I am struggle to get to work and school so I can put food on the table I see no end to this cycle. WHY?

Well to make a long story short......I am currently 7 months pregnant with my 3rd child (a boy), work part time and attending my final semester of college however funds are extrememly limited. While I am not single, my fiance is also having difficulties providing for our family. We have burned through our savings (because of the size of both of our places of employment FMLA and other benefits are not available). I work for a non profit and as many of you might know no funds equal no pay. Well I have missed weeks on end due to hospitalizations and doctor appointments. I have been able to keep upto date on rent and utility bills and we do receive food stamps (althought they are not enough to feed a family of four we stretch it). Tuition, transportation and the like do suffer and with our savings gone we have nothing to fall back on when i hit maternity leave and with the DUE Date itching closer i find myself stressing on how to clothe and take care of the children when i am on maternity leave. I am not looking for a christmas handout as we celebrate kwanzaa I just want to make sure that when baby number 3 comes we still have a roof over our heads, heat in the hous, clothes on our backs, and adequate food in our stomachs. Dont get me wrong i am all for the struggle (what doesnt kill you makes you stronger) however with little one kicking me more and more each day I feel the stress adding to my health problems.

About Tre13

Hi,

I am in need of financial help! This is extremely difficult and embarrassing for me to ask for help, but I don't know where else to turn. My whole family is struggling and they have helped all that they can. I am a full-time 4th grade teacher. I teach 4 adult technology classes two nights a week and also work at a gym the rest of the time that I have left. I am a couple thousand dollars behind on my basic bills at this time and every month it just gets worse. I am not lazy, I do not pity myself, for I am very fortunate for what I do have. Though I am struggling, I know that I am luckier than many. I am just scared and I don't want my situation to become worse. I have outstanding debts on credit and student loans already. I am just wanting help for the basics right now (utilities, transportation, rent, food). Because I am single, have no kids, and have a job(s), it is even more difficult to find support in my community. I am very proud to be a teacher, but I feel that as a respected leader in my community I am failing to demonstrate to my students how to be responsible and independent. I have always taken care of myself since I was a teenager and never depended on anyone, not even my parents. Now, I have no choice. Can you help me?

A small favor that will mean the WORLD!!!!!

I am in need of someone to write a Research proposal for my Research 1 class. I am a sophmore in college majoring in psychology. This semester has been overwhelming. I found out that I have cervical cancer. I am supposed to only have 1 semester left. I need to do this for my kids. My course load is overwhelming and finals are coming up. I already had to drop my algebra class. I am a single mom working and going to school. I have 3 large papers due. This one is really stressing me out. I need a 15-25 page research proposal in APA format. I must have 10 sources. My topic is on proactive interference. I need to set up an experiment using student resouces that I can carry out in research two. I need to write about how I will carry this out and what I expect the results to be. College means everything to me. (Besides my babies) If anyone out there especially psychology majors could write this for me and e-mail it to mommyofchassidy@yahoo.com by December 8 I would be eternally greatful. I am not trying to cop out of it, I am so overwhelmed and just need help this once. It would make a HUGE difference in my life and the lifes of my kids. I can't afford to pay much but if you are willing to help, we could work out something. Thank you and God bless.

Not going to lie, going to lose home and have kids to help

Bottom line is I need to come up with 15000.00 or my house is gone. I am not only raising my two kids, but 3 neices and nephews whose mom was in prison and now in a halfway house. We have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. I have some family with money but they will not help me, they just tell me a house is just a house and I will find something. I work, so don't get me wrong, it might take forever to pay this back but I will. I was only making $10 an hour, after getting laid off and no unemployment because I quit my job for one closer to home, never dreaming I would get laid off. I now make more but the home co won't work with me. I lose my home in two days. please help us. I will make payments or do whatever needs to be done. YOu can contact me at work at 303-423-8872, or my mail is at a PO box which is 745774 Arvada Co 80006 (I had to get a po box cause this mom was stealing my mail - the three little ones mom) I live at 5030 W. 70 th Place Westminster Colorado if you want to really see if my house is in foreclosre. Lender said they worked with me and now they decided not to. Please help.
